Age Recommendation for each class: 1. For马立平教材班 Sierra Chinese School accepts students that are 5 years old and above with Mandarin as the primary speaking language at home. 2. For Conversation classes, Sierra Chinese School accepts students that are 6 years old and above (has at least completed Kindergarten at primary school) with little or no Chinese heritage. 3. For Math Olympiad Class, Sierra Chinese School accepts students from 4th½ to 11th graders. 4. For Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Class, Sierra Chinese School accepts students that are 4 to 12 years old. Sierra Chinese School starts new school year at the end of August each year. It starts registration for new school year from Mid May. For transfer students into Chinese classes, please make an appointment with us for an assessment so we can place the students in the appropriate grade.
