Due to high demand, new in 2011-2012 school year, we are opening a conversation class for elementary aged students who has limited Chinese heritage but has strong desire to learn Chinese language and culture.

 

This class will start teaching PIN YIN and focus on conversation. The textbook series covers conversational material designed for students 6 years old and above. With little or non-help from their parents, the students will be able to learn and do their homework independantly.

 

We will be using "Chinese Made Easy for Kids" (轻松学汉语-少儿版）textbook series for this class. It is designed for kids/beginners who start learning Chinese as a foreign language by adopting a new approach. The series comprises 4 books, each book consisting of one textbook with a CD and one workbook. After completing this series, students should be able to write 100 simple Chinese characters, recognize over 500 Chinese characters and develop listening and speaking skills。
